Sell or Purchase a Gun

William Evans offers to sell guns on behalf of our customers for a commission of 20% plus VAT. We appraise shotguns and rifles at Bisley in Surrey or in our London Gun Room — a tempting convenience.

Simply bring your gun to either Gun Room for a discussion.

Please note that we cannot offer valuations via photographs or phone calls, as our gunsmith will need to look over the gun.

In the event that we do not feel we would be able to sell your gun through either of our gun rooms, we can help facilitate sending the gun to auction or having the firearm safely dismantled and disposed of.

Bisley

We are not currently purchasing second-hand guns via our Bisley Gunroom. However, we can sell them on your behalf for a commission of 20% plus VAT. We call this process Sale or Return. This will involve a discussion about the current market value of the gun and the return you would ideally like to see. We will then list the gun on GunTrader and our own website and it will be displayed 7 days a week in our beautiful gunroom on the iconic Bisley Camp, a stone's throw from Bisley Shooting Ground, the National Clay Shooting Centre, and multiple NRA rifle ranges.

What happens if my gun sells?

We offer a 30 day warranty to buyers on all pre-owned guns. This is to protect the buyer. We thoroughly inspect, but we do not test Sale or Return guns.

Therefore, we will make payment approximately 30 days after your gun is sold to allow for the warranty period the buyer is entitled to.

We will ask you for your bank details when you leave the gun with us, to simplify matters when it comes to payment, but you will be notified when your gun is sold.
