Blaser was founded in 1957 by Horst Blaser when he created the over and under, the ‘Blaser Diplomat.’ This was a roaring success due to the new single locks with manual cocking lever, making this gun a light but safe gun.

Since then, Blaser has continued to create fantastic guns each adhering to their five values of safety, accuracy, reliability, huntability and versatility.

Blaser has produced the R8, a new and exciting bolt action rifle that exceeds all expectations and that of their very own and renowned R93 rifle.

Magazine: This can be ejected and replaced easily by the push of double buttons from above the trigger. This double action also prevents unintentional drop out of the magazine. Cartridges are loaded quickly without having to push them under the magazine lip. There is also a locking device for the hunter who prefers a non-detachable magazine.

Trigger Mechanism: The R8 has an advanced trigger mechanism whereby upon cycling the action, the trigger is reset mechanically. This is an important feature that assures reliability in all weather conditions.

Scope Mount: Four notches which are aligned with the chamber hold the one-piece mounting base without causing tension. Thus, the barrel can float freely and keeps its point of impact even with the heat generated by a quick succession of shots. The rifle scope can be easily detached and reattached within a split second, all without needing to re-zero your optics.

The stock: Different from some traditional stock shapes, the straight comb of the R8 diverts recoil forces horizontally on the shoulder. Due to the increased muzzle stability the felt recoil is substantially reduced.
